Dr. Steven Kaplan
Steven Kaplan, MD is the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Care and Patient Experience at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. In this position, Dr. Kaplan is responsible for overseeing clinical operational activities of the 14 primary care practices, 7 school-based health centers and more than 65 specialty care practices and community programs of the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Ambulatory Care Network. Dr. Kaplan also leads development and implementation of programs focused on physician engagement and the role of physicians in the patient experience and trains physicians in relationship-centered communication.
Dr. Kaplan received his BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his MD from Cornell University Medical College.
Dr. Kaplan is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience in the practice of Emergency Medicine.
