Fourteen years at Coogan’s
Tess O’Connor McDade graduated from the University of Ulster, Ireland with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and came straight to New York! During a four-year stint at Hospital Audiences, Inc. managing grant proposals and budgets while working with the disadvantaged
groups served by the organization, she met Peter Walsh, and began working at Coogan’s in 1992. Starting as a bartender, progressing to business and banquet manager, she is now a co-owner and is involved both with the catering department of Coogan’s as well as the restaurant. Tess is married to Vincent, the owner of Upstairs Downstairs Moving Company and they have three daughters, Hannah and Meg and Olivia.
